As the Associate Director of Marketing Operations for GCE you will have significant responsibilities working in a team-based, results-driven environment. You will lead all efforts to design, drive, and implement marketing strategies and initiatives that support the launch, execution and ongoing management of live, blended and online continuing education courses. You will be accountable for generating a comprehensive marketing plan to meet and exceed short-term and long-term revenue goals and enhance HMS Global and Continuing Education development in the marketplace. You will evaluate and effectively employ appropriate marketing channels (digital, social, print, etc.) to achieve goals. You and your team will provide a spectrum of marketing services to support GCE programs from designing and writing copy to coordinating media spend. Working with the Senior Associate Dean, you will help develop and administer the digital marketing and content strategy to support recruitment and community engagement. Along with the Senior Associate Dean, you will set content design and production standards.
Lead all marketing strategies and execution to support new programs, generate revenues, and build brand awareness.
Assist and support product development, launch and post-launch management of HMS Global and Continuing Education programs.
Develop new and innovative marketing initiatives and pipeline development strategies to generate viable prospects, and convert prospects into participants.
Evaluate effectiveness of marketing channels, adjust, and refine accordingly toward improvement in all aspects, but especially in enhancing yield.
Communicate the value proposition of the programs and analyze the target markets, market size, pricing and marketing channels.
Design and execute an effective marketing communication plan to support brand awareness and "call to action."
Perform data analytics to drive the most efficient use of marketing expenditures.
Manage webpage content to ensure that new and consistent information (article links, stories, and events) is on brand and posted regularly.
Lead HMS Global and Continuing Education in anticipating and capitalizing on market shifts due to impact of new delivery technologies, new areas of demand, new channels to reach prospective applicants.
Collaborate with internal and external partners, faculty and staff to leverage all available resources.
Monitor and interpret trends in continuing medical education offerings and enrollment for GCE management and the rest of the organization.
Build strong and effective partnerships with Executive Education, HMS IT teams, HMS Faculty, and other academic support organizations across HMS and the University
Design, manage and provide training for marketing resources to GCE staff and the Course Director Community, when appropriate.
Collaborate with key leadership teams and faculty to evaluate and introduce appropriate and innovative marketing solutions for the GCE.
Serve as a member of the management team focused on recruitment and achieving enrollment goals.
Manage marketing budget effectively.
Foster a culture of continuous innovation by maintaining expertise in current and emerging marketing trends and initiatives.
Manage, train and mentor a team of marketing professionals – marketing coordinators, graphic designers and 3rd party vendor management.
As appropriate, serves on University and HMS Committees that are charged with evaluating marketing initiatives.

Bachelor's degree in related field and 7 or more years of marketing and communications experience.
Master's degree in marketing, business or related field preferred. The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership ability and excellence in organizational management along with the following:

Proven record in producing usable reports on web analytics (including Google Analytics and Google AdWords), direct marketing, feedback surveys, social media metrics and marketing dashboards.
Ability to interpret analytics results, assess campaign effectiveness and adapt campaigns to achieve goals.
Experience managing content within Content Management Systems.
Experience utilizing social media management tools (including search engine optimization strategies or SEO).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to match message delivery to audience needs.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a team.
