Emporia State University, a member of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association and NCAA Division II, invites applications and nominations for the position of Director of Athletic Marketing.
Duties: The position is responsible for creating, selling, and implementing all marketing and promotions programs for Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Duties include sale of all advertising (i.e. venue signage, game programs, game sponsorships) and season and single game ticket packages. Cultivate and manage sponsorship accounts as well as coordinating activities that develop the interest and support of ESU students, faculty and staff, and the general public. Game management responsibilities, as well as special event coordination are also expected.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Applicant must have excellent communication skills, and the ability to interact with a variety of constituents in a higher educational environment. Candidate should be a self-starter who possesses leadership skills, and has experience in a wide variety of computer software needed for promotions and sales. Experience in sales and graphic design preferred. This position requires a person with a high energy level that can work long hours including evenings and weekends.
